This project was commissioned by drag queen Miz Cracker to commemorate her outfits worn on Rupaul’s Drag Race All Stars Season 5.

We worked on the concept together and I created a series of pose “templates” to use across multiple outfits. Then I drew each outfit on top of the doll form and we included relevant accessories and quotes for each page.

The illustration is heavily inspired by midcentury comics and, of course, vintage paper dolls. I leaned into emulating print effects and learned a lot of new tricks and techniques.
